Consider Your Safety before Installation

Please kindly note: installation of LED tube lights can be dangerous since you’re working with electricity. If you’ve never performed electrical tasks before, consider working with a knowledgeable partner throughout this process.

There are two kinds of type B LED tubes, which are single ended power and double ended power LED tube. Single ended power LED tube need rewire, but it’s cheaper. Double ended power LED tube can work directly on fluorescent light fixture after remove ballast.

How to Install Single-Ended Power LED Tube Lights?

1. Disconnect main power before installation.
2. Cut the output wires on the ballast. You can either remove the ballast or keep it, it’s not useful in this case anyway.
3. Use a non-shunted lamp holder, and connect the N and L wires of the mains to the N and L ends of the lamp holder.
4. Install the bracket and the lamp.
5. Power up

How to Install Double Ended Power LED Tube Lights?

1. Disconnect main power before installation
2. Cut the output wires on the ballast. You can either remove the ballast or keep it
3. Connect the N and L wires to the mains with the 2-terminal lamp holder input wires
4. Install the bracket and the lamp
5. Power up

3 Steps to Install LED Solar Security Light with Motion Sensor

Step 1. Turn the switch on

After the switch is turned to the “ON” position, the wall light only illuminates when the ambient light level is below 20 Lux and there is human movement detected.

Step 2. Choose a location exposed to direct sunlight

Recommended height: 6 – 8ft (1.8 – 2.5m). The number of uses depends on the amount of electricity stored during the daytime, which is affected by the intensity and duration of sunlight.

If the light fails to light up after days of continuous rainy or cloudy weather, it is because the battery has been exhausted. The light will function normally again at night after a sunny day.

Step 3. Fix the light

Make a punch mark on the surface to be installed. punch a hole with the impact drill, put in the concrete anchors and then fix the lamp with screws.

Tips: Temperature affects the sensitivity of the PIR sensor, causing the detection range to vary. The higher the temperature is, the shorter the detection range will be.

Simple Guide to Install LED Flood Light

Do not need to fix to wall, ground or others. No special tools required.

Step1. Cut off the power

To start with, please turn off the main power for safety reasons.

Step 2. Connect the wires

After fixing the light components, connect the wires according to the mark of the fire wire, the zero wire, and the ground wire.

Step 3. Adjust the angle

After the light wires are connected, adjust the projection angle of the light using the open end wrench.

Step 4. Turn on the LED flood light

After the installation, please turn the switch on and test whether the light is on. If so, the installation is complete.

Advanced Installation Guide of LED Flood Light

If you want to make the flood light more stable, or keep it from being taken away, you can fix the lights to the wall or the ground.

Tools: open end wrench, electric screwdriver, impact drill, and hammer.

To begin with, please follow the 4 simple steps above.

Step 5. Make a punch mark on the surface to be installed.

Step 6. Select appropriate drill bit, punch a hole with the impact drill, and knock the expansion screw into the hole first.

Step 7. Take out the light components, align the mounting hole of the light bracket with the punched hole, fix the bracket by inserting the self-tapping screw with a power screwdriver. If the expansion bolt is used, align the bracket mounting hole with the bolt and tighten the nut with an open end wrench.

Additional step: After the light wires are connected, adjust the lighting, time, and distance knob on the sensor head, and adjust the projection angle of the lamp through the open end wrench.

1. Pull the bracket lock to take off the mounting bracket.

2. Fix the mounting bracket to the ceiling.
2.1 For concrete and stone ceilings, first drill 2 holes, the distance between the holes for this lamp should be 45-70mm. Please check your product manual for details. Put in the concrete anchors and then fix the mounting bracket with screws.
2.2 For wooden ceilings, just use a screwdriver to fix the mounting bracket.

3. Add anti-scratch pads to the back of the lamp body.

4. Open the light’s waterproof wiring compartment.

5. Insert the wires into the electrical connections N and L accordingly.

6. Straighten out the wire, put the rubber sealant into position and lock the wiring compartment.

7. Pull the bracket lock and attach the lamp body to the fixed mounting bracket.

8. Turn on the main switch and the lamp will light up immediately and the installation will be completed successfully.

Part 1. How to Install LED Strip Lights?

Step 1. Dry and clean the surface

Before adhering any strip lights, clean the surface of the area you will be placing the lights on. This is vital to keeping it mounted for a long time to come. It is recommended to apply your strip lights on smooth stable surfaces. It should not be placed on rough or textured surfaces or any surfaces that can bend or move.

Step 2. Unroll the light strip, stick to the surface

The LED strip lights come rolled on a spool. Simply unroll the length of lighting you will be working with, remove the adhesive backing and stick to the desired surface. Press down on each part of the strip so it is firmly adhered to the surface and has no air bubbles.

You can use fixing clips to strengthen the strip light’s installation and ensure they stay in place. Peel off the adhesive tape and apply it to the surface with the non-sticky area over the strip light.  If you choose, you can secure the clip further by screwing it to the surface.

Notice: Not all of the LED strip lights on lepro.com are equipped with the fixing clips, please check the new models if needed.

Step 3. Connect LED light strip and turn on the light

Once your strip lights are secured, you can attach it to the controller and power adapter, then plug it into an electrical outlet. Using the remote control, remove the insulation sheet first, press any color on the remote control to change the lighting color.

Part 2. How to Cut LED Lights Strip

Each strip light has special designated sections where you can cut the strip. Be sure to make a clean straight cut only in these designated sections. Cutting it in a non-designated area will damage the strip lights.

Part 3. How to Connect LED Strip Light Sections

Did you know you can design your strip lights to make twists and turns, go around corners or even over non-flat surfaces? Use the corner or straight flexible connectors and connector clips.

To join two strip light sections together, use a connector clip. Push the open end of each strip into the clip, then close it to lock it in.

To make your light strips go around a corner, use one corner connector and 2 connector clips.

You can even make your strip lights go over uneven surfaces if you need to. Connect a flexible strip connector to the strip lights and over the uneven area. Connect the other end to the rest of the lighting.

Now you can feel free to change and choose the light color atmosphere you want. If you use a remote control, don’t forget to unplug the battery insulation sheet before use.

For rough surfaces, you may need to install mounting clips to keep the strip light stable. For moist places like bathrooms, waterproof strip lights are recommended. And now you can check the LED strip lights category to get more.
