Consider Your Safety before Installation

Please kindly note: installation of LED tube lights can be dangerous since you’re working with electricity. If you’ve never performed electrical tasks before, consider working with a knowledgeable partner throughout this process.

There are two kinds of type B LED tubes, which are single ended power and double ended power LED tube. Single ended power LED tube need rewire, but it’s cheaper. Double ended power LED tube can work directly on fluorescent light fixture after remove ballast.

How to Install Single-Ended Power LED Tube Lights?

1. Disconnect main power before installation.
2. Cut the output wires on the ballast. You can either remove the ballast or keep it, it’s not useful in this case anyway.
3. Use a non-shunted lamp holder, and connect the N and L wires of the mains to the N and L ends of the lamp holder.
4. Install the bracket and the lamp.
5. Power up

How to Install Double Ended Power LED Tube Lights?

1. Disconnect main power before installation
2. Cut the output wires on the ballast. You can either remove the ballast or keep it
3. Connect the N and L wires to the mains with the 2-terminal lamp holder input wires
4. Install the bracket and the lamp
5. Power up

“8” is value of diameter. It means 8/8 inch. So, actually T8 is a tubular bulb whose diameter is 8/8=1 inch. T5 is tubular bulbs whose diameter is 5/8=0.625 inch.

Regards T8 bulbs, LED is more and more popular due to energy saving, long lifespan and eco-friendly. There are three types of T8 LED tube bulbs.

2. Type B LED Tube – Ballast Bypass

What is CRI?
CRI stands for Color Rendering Index, is measure of the degree to which the psychophysical colour of an object illuminated by the test illuminant conforms to that of the same object illuminated by the reference illuminant, suitable allowance having been made for the state of chromatic adaptation.

Basically…
The higher the CRI value an artificial light source has the more ‘authentic’ the color of an object appears! A light source with a CRI of 100 would be the same as natural daylight.

Case
Why is that important? Because a light source with a low CRI will distort the color of an object. The higher the CRI, the better the artificial light source is at rendering colors accurately. The lower the CRI value, the more unnatural colors appear when illuminated by the light source.
For general indoor use, a CRI value of over 80 is recommended, which you will find with all LE bulbs and lamps.
For industrial buildings or outdoor use, the CRI value is less important, a CRI value of over 70 is enough.

Definition
The lumens definition is: “Luminous flux emitted in unit solid angle (steradian) by a uniform point source having a luminous intensity of 1 candela. Equivalent definition. Luminous flux of a beam of monochromatic radiation whose frequency is 540 × 1012 hertz and whose radiant flux is 1/683 watt..”

Lumens equals brightness!

Why not measure in watts?
Well, watts measure energy use, not light output. Therefore with the focus of LEDs being energy efficiency, we can no longer rely on wattage to indicate how bright a bulb is. An LED bulb will use less energy to produce the same brightness as a less efficient incandescent bulb.

Lumens vs Watts: Output and wattages based on most common products available for each medium screw base light bulb. Actual light output may vary by product.

Use the chart to determine exactly how many lumens are in a watt and vice versa. This should provide you with a good understanding of how bright 120 lumens is vs. a fixture with 5000 lumens. Anyway, some manufacturers may exaggerate their product’s lumen value. For example, a flashlight written with 1000 lm, the real value could be only 200 lm.

How can we know the lumen value? You can get this information on the package of all our bulbs and lamps. Just remember, Lumens equals brightness, but lumen is not the only factor to influence brightness, such as the beam’s angle and lighting distance.

3 Steps to Install LED Solar Security Light with Motion Sensor

Step 1. Turn the switch on

After the switch is turned to the “ON” position, the wall light only illuminates when the ambient light level is below 20 Lux and there is human movement detected.

Step 2. Choose a location exposed to direct sunlight

Recommended height: 6 – 8ft (1.8 – 2.5m). The number of uses depends on the amount of electricity stored during the daytime, which is affected by the intensity and duration of sunlight.

If the light fails to light up after days of continuous rainy or cloudy weather, it is because the battery has been exhausted. The light will function normally again at night after a sunny day.

Step 3. Fix the light

Make a punch mark on the surface to be installed. punch a hole with the impact drill, put in the concrete anchors and then fix the lamp with screws.

Tips: Temperature affects the sensitivity of the PIR sensor, causing the detection range to vary. The higher the temperature is, the shorter the detection range will be.

If your project is in a place which requires attention and focus, such as an office, daylight white is a better choice.
If your project is in a place, like a bar, which requires mood lighting or party lighting, RGB is the better choice.
In most cases, you’re better off choosing warm white for your home.

3.Bulb Shape
The third point is the bulb shape. There are hundreds of bulb shapes. Their names are usually combined with the shape type and diameter.

The diameter of 1 inch = 8. So, A19 means an A style shape with a 19/8 inches diameter. R30 means the R style shape with a 30/8 inches diameter.

In the USA and Canada, you will find the following popular base types for LED bulbs:
(1) A Shape A19 and A21. A19 is the most popular bulb shape.
(2) G Shape. G19

Simple Guide to Install LED Flood Light

Do not need to fix to wall, ground or others. No special tools required.

Step1. Cut off the power

To start with, please turn off the main power for safety reasons.

Step 2. Connect the wires

After fixing the light components, connect the wires according to the mark of the fire wire, the zero wire, and the ground wire.

Step 3. Adjust the angle

After the light wires are connected, adjust the projection angle of the light using the open end wrench.

Step 4. Turn on the LED flood light

After the installation, please turn the switch on and test whether the light is on. If so, the installation is complete.

Advanced Installation Guide of LED Flood Light

If you want to make the flood light more stable, or keep it from being taken away, you can fix the lights to the wall or the ground.

Tools: open end wrench, electric screwdriver, impact drill, and hammer.

To begin with, please follow the 4 simple steps above.

Step 5. Make a punch mark on the surface to be installed.

Step 6. Select appropriate drill bit, punch a hole with the impact drill, and knock the expansion screw into the hole first.

Step 7. Take out the light components, align the mounting hole of the light bracket with the punched hole, fix the bracket by inserting the self-tapping screw with a power screwdriver. If the expansion bolt is used, align the bracket mounting hole with the bolt and tighten the nut with an open end wrench.

Additional step: After the light wires are connected, adjust the lighting, time, and distance knob on the sensor head, and adjust the projection angle of the lamp through the open end wrench.
