Brightness

The human eye's perception of brightness is measured in “Lumens”. The following variables affect LED strip lights' brightness: LED output, the quantity of LEDs per square foot, and LED strip light wattage. Different projects call for a specific level of brightness to achieve the desired appearance. Always go brighter than necessary and add a dimmer, is our advice.

CCT & Colors

The color temperature of light is referred to as CCT (Correlated Color Temperature), and it is measured in degrees Kelvin (K). White light's appearance is directly influenced by the temperature rating, which ranges from cool white (6500K) to warm white (2700K). The color will transition from yellow to yellowish white to white and then a bluish white (the coolest) as the Kelvin temperature rises.

Lepro offers a huge selection of single-color strips and multi-color strips in our LED strip lights (RGB or RGBW). Warm white, neutral white, cool white, red, green, blue, yellow, pink, and other colors are all available. Different hues and color temperatures elicit various mood-altering atmospheres. Warm colors, such as orange and red, induce feelings of vivacity, elation, and excitement; cool colors, such as blue and green, induce feelings of tranquility, serenity, and steadiness.

Waterproof or Not

If you want to install the LED strip lights indoors in your bedroom, living room, or all around some furniture, you don't need the waterproofing feature. You can simply purchase non-waterproof LED strip lights; this will also reduce your budget requirements. If you want to install strip lights in your kitchen, bathroom, or other areas where there are frequent splashes of water, we recommend purchasing lights with an IP65 rating. If you are wondering whether you need to acquire strip lights with a protection rating of IP67 or even IP68, there isn't much of a need for that (unless you're continually submerging the strip light in water, which is normally uncommon indoors).

Length

We advise measuring the necessary length before choosing a light strip in order to get the best decorative effect. Avoid having a length that is either too long to cut short and waste, or too short to achieve the desired effect. Lepro provides customers with a selection of light strip lengths.
