What is a Linear LED High Bay Light?

Linear high bay LED lights are used to illuminate large indoor buildings with high ceilings (18-35ft). Large spaces between ceilings and floors require high lumen output from linear high bay lights and focused beams down from the fixture to the floor. Linear high bays tend to be rectangular compared to other types of circular or "bell-shaped" high bays. They can be mounted directly on the ceiling or suspended with chains.

Where are LED Linear High Bay Lights Often Used?

Linear high bay lights are often applied in commercial and industrial buildings. Examples include retail stores, factories, warehouses, workshops, and manufacturing areas. They are also ideal for conference halls, event centers, large recreational facilities, and fitness centers. All of these areas require adequate lighting from ceiling heights of 20 feet or higher.

What are the Different Types of Linear High Bay Lights?

There have been many improvements in lighting technology over the years, and each type has its own advantages and disadvantages. Types of bulbs or arrays that can be used for high bay lighting include fluorescent, metal halide, high-pressure sodium, and LEDs. Metal halide or high-pressure sodium lamps are not expensive but have a shorter lifespan than LEDs. Other issues include long warm-up times and less-than-ideal color rendering. On the other hand, modern LED lighting has an extremely long lifetime and energy efficiency but requires a larger initial investment.

Why Choose LED Linear High Bay Lights?

1. Higher lumen output and color rendering index (CRI).

2. Much longer lifespan and fewer maintenance fees.

3. Cold lighting source.

4. Instant-on, no warm-up time.
